Free summer basketball camp registration is extended!
The THI Summer Youth Academy is a free of charge basketball summer camp for boys and girls between 14 and 18 years of age, combining basketball training with many recreational and empowering activities. The THI Summer Youth Academy program will be hosted at the facilities of the Leontios School of Athens in Patisia (Neigi 17, Athens), in two periods, from July 1st to the 26th (A’ Period: 1-12/7, B’ Period: 15 -26/7).
The registration deadline for the THI Summer Youth Academy has been extended until June 14, 2024, and potential participants can register online at thiyouthacademy.org.
The THI Summer Youth Academy is implemented for the first time in Greece by The Hellenic Initiative – THI in collaboration with the Eurohoops organization. The purpose of the program is to bring together boys and girls who want to develop themselves and also have fun through basketball. The program includes two 15-day periods (Monday – Friday, 09:00-17:00) with basketball training, games, skills workshops, theatrical play, dance, meeting distinct personalities, entertainment, and visits to places such as the Olympic Museum.
The whole program is offered free of charge. Plus each participant will receive his own with clothing with the Academy insignia and daily snacks and meals.
As the program is designed to support the most vulnerable families, there is provision for the allocation of places based on social and economic criteria to ensure the participation of children who are most in need.
